Tips on how to write a press release
After you've launched your campaign, you may want to craft a short news release to help promote it. You can work from the 1,000-character pitch you wrote when you launched your campaign.
*Keep your press release short - ideally no more than 300 words.
*Think about what is most interesting about your campaign and include that at the top of your release.
*Include basic details that answer: who, what, when, where and why.
*Summarize the details of your campaign.
*Include your contact details so that media members can reach you if they're interested in covering your campaign.
