Contact National Media
- If your campaign has widespread interest, you may want to contact national media outlets along with your local media.
- First, you'll want to draft a press release about your campaign (SEE LINK).
- Next, create a list of broadcast, print, and radio outlets (don't forget NPR!) you'd like to contact. You can find their phone numbers online.
- Call media to let them know about your campaign and get the e-mail addresses of the appropriate editors.
- Distribute your press release.
- Be sure to follow up with media contacts to make sure they received your press release and have all the details they need.
